Memoserv

Memoserv is a utility allowing IRC users to send short messages to other registered IRC users, whether they are online at the time or not.

Send Memo to User: /MSG memoserv send nickname message Sends the named nick a memo. The recipient will receive a notice that he/she has a new memo when they connect. The recipient's nickname must be registered.

Send Memo to Channel: /MSG memoserv send #channel message
Sends the named channel a memo which all users can read. The channel must be registered. However, once on user deletes the memo, others will not see it.

Cancel the last Memo you sent: /MSG memoserv cancel nickname or /MSG memoserv cancel #channel Cancels the last memo you sent to the given nick or channel provided it has not been read at the time you use the command. By default, any user with at least level 10 access on a channel can read that channel's memos. This can be changed with the chanserv levels command.

List Memos: /MSG memoserv list
Lists any memos you currently have. You may use /MSG memoserv list new to view only new (unread) memos. Unread memos are marked with a * to the left of the memo number. For more info type: /MSG memoserv help list

Read Memos: /MSG memoserv read new
Sends you the text of all your new memos. Using /MSG memoserv read last will send you the memo you most recently received. Using /MSG memoserv read Number will send you the memo number you specified. For more info, type: /MSG memoserv help read

Delete Memos: /msg memoserv del last Deletes the last memo you received. Using /msg memoserv del all will delete all your memos. Using /msg memoserv del number will delete the memo corresponding to that number in the memo list. For more info, type: /msg memoserv help del
Set: These commands allow the user to set various memo options:

Notify: Allows you to change when you will be notified about new memos. /msg memoserv set notify on notifies you of memos when you log on, when you unset /away and when they are sent to you. /msg memoserv set notify logon You will only be notified of memos when you log on or when you unset /away. /msg memoserv set new You will only be notified of memos when they are sent to you. /msg memoserv set off You will not receive any notification of memos. ON is essentially LOGON and New combined.

Info: /msg memoserv info This command displays information on the number of memos you have, how many of them are unread, and how many total memos you can receive. /msg memoserv info #channel displays the same information as above for the given channel. /msg memoserv info nickname displays the same information as INFO for the given nickname. This option is limited to services admins.
